In today's increasingly globalized world, we should remember that everything has two sides. The popular belief is that globalization itself brings a lot of benefits to national economies, however, people should take into consideration it's negative impact. In this essay I am going to examine both pros and cons of globalization.
According to an opinion of supporters of global processes in the world economy, this is the only way of further development of world community. This is particularly true if we remember a diversity of specifications of countries such as geographical location, climate, natural resources etc. In this case countries with good set of start points will be able to develop more rapidly and successfully than regions with, for example, poor natural resources or locating in remote areas. In fact, globalization gives those countries an opportunity to use all technological invention, products that have been produced in other countries. The successful example of this is a delivery of fresh fruits from Asia and Africa to people who live on or beyond the polar circle.
However, according to opinion of opponents of globalization, it has the dark slide, that may influence national economies in the bad way. For instance, the local businessmen, who have almost no chance to compet with international companies, have to struggle financially trying to put their own product lines on the national market, let alone the international one. Indeed, globalization represents a significant problem for local economies. As a result, people are relying on overseas products more and more that may lead to catastrophic consequences in case if international companies decide to ignore those countries for some reason.
In conclusion, as we can see, globalization has two sides which influence domestic economy of countries in both negative and positive ways simultaneously. In my opinion, government should keep the well-balanced policy between local businesses and international "economical invasion".
